How long does it take for nose piercings to heal?Updated 23 days ago
The healing time can vary for every person. As a general rule, 12 weeks is the recommended healing time.
Firstly, it’s key you are spraying your after-care spray 2-3 times on the front and back of your piercing, 2-3 times a day or whenever you feel heat around the piercing. This helps to ensure the piercing is sterilised and cleaned throughout the day, it also helps to keep it cool when it can start to feel a little sensitive.
Secondly, avoid touching your piercing as much as possible and try to avoid sleeping on it if you can. Avoid sharing jewellery with friends and family, avoid swimming until your piercing is healed and avoid non-specific piercing treatments.
Our nose piercings are pierced without a backing, it is not necessary for the nose jewellery to have a backing as it can sometimes constrict the piercing from healing. The jewellery should sit in the piercing quite snug, if it feels quite loose or continues to fall out, it is is OK to push it back through, just ensure your hands are cleaned and sanitised. ✨
